BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, December 11. The value of money transfers from Kyrgyzstan via international systems in October 2024 totaled $39.7 million, which is 11.5 percent more than the $35.6 million in September 2024, Trend reports.
According to the National Bank of Kyrgyzstan, of this, $32 million was sent to Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) countries. Of that, $30.9 million was sent to Russia, $300,000 to Kazakhstan, and $900,000 to other CIS countries.
Moreover, $7.6 million was forwarded to countries outside the CIS. Of that, $6.9 million went to Türkiye, $200,000 to the US, $100,000 to South Korea, and $300,000 to other non-CIS countries.
Moreover, the volume of money transfers to Kyrgyzstan in October 2024 amounted to $272 million, which is 4 percent less than in September ($284.8 million).
The main inflow came from the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) countries, totaling $256.7 million. The volume of inflows from countries outside the CIS amounted to $15.3 million.
