DUSHANBE, Tajikistan, January 16. Trade turnover between Tajikistan and Iran amounted to $336.8 million from January through November 2024, which is a 55 percent increase compared to the same period in 2023, Trend reports.
According to the Tajikistan Agency for Statistics, Tajikistan's trade dynamics with Iran revealed an export volume of $104.1 million during the period spanning January through November 2024, juxtaposed against an import figure of $232.1 million.
On January 15, 2025, as part of the visit of Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian to Tajikistan, a meeting was held between economic representatives from Tajikistan and Iran. The discussions centered on enhancing trade cooperation and exploring new business opportunities.
The Tajik-Iranian Investment and Tourism Forum is set to take place in Dushanbe on January 16, 2025. The forum will bring together a diverse group of entrepreneurs, investors, and business leaders from both countries. Topics on the agenda include strategies to further strengthen economic and trade ties, with a particular focus on sectors such as natural resources, energy, tourism, agriculture, and industry.
