Uzbek and Russian viticulture experts are working together on development of new varieties of grapes,Trend reports via Uzbek media outlets.
Uzbekistan has established scientific cooperation with the Russian National Research Center - "Kurchatov Institute". Scientists of the two countries are jointly developing completely new seedless grape varieties for export.
In 2022, new vineyards on 50,000 hectares will be laid in areas of Uzbekistan specializing in viticulture.
On the existing vineyards of the country, the yield will double in the next three years and will reach an average of 3 million tons per year.
