TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, October 5. Uzbekistan's volume of exports and services amounted to $12.3 billion (excluding non-monetary gold) from January through August 2024, Trend reports.
As per data from Uzbekistan’s Statistics Agency, this figure has increased by 14.4 percent compared to the same period in 2023.
In the structure of exports, goods account for 74.6 percent, out of which other goods account for 29 percent, manufactured goods for 16.5 percent, food products and live animals for 7.3 percent, and chemicals and similar products for 6.2 percent.
The main export partners of goods and services in the foreign trade turnover were Russia ($2.4 billion), China ($1.3 billion), Kazakhstan ($872.5 million), and Türkiye ($768.2 million) from January through August 2024.
Meanwhile, Uzbekistan's foreign trade turnover amounted to $42.7 billion from January through August 2024. This indicator increased by 6.7 percent compared to the same period last year ($40 billion in January-August 2023).
Uzbekistan's exports from January through August 2024 reached $17.3 billion, while imports amounted to $25.3 billion.
