TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, March 27. Uzbekistan and Georgia have signed a bilateral roadmap aimed at strengthening cooperation between innovation infrastructure entities, including technoparks, business incubators, and accelerators, as well as supporting the development of the startup ecosystem, Trend reports.
The document was signed following an official meeting between Uzbekistan’s First Deputy Minister of Higher Education, Science, and Innovation, Shohrukh Daliyev, and Georgia’s Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, Irakli Nadareishvili.
As part of the agreement, Uzbekistan will develop and implement a capacity-building program to enhance the management and growth of technoparks, incorporating Georgia’s expertise. Special training courses will be introduced for employees of youth technoparks and entrepreneurs, focusing on startup incubation and acceleration programs. Additionally, Uzbekistan’s specialists and mentors from startup incubation and acceleration centers will have the opportunity to participate in internships at leading innovation hubs in Georgia.
Furthermore, Uzbekistan plans to launch a pre-incubation program for youth technoparks, modeled on Georgia’s experience, along with a special pre-incubation program for employees of these technoparks. The cooperation also includes the development of a hardware incubation program based on Georgia’s advanced methodologies.
Following the meeting, the Georgian delegation was introduced to the activities of the “Inno” production technopark, operating under Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Innovation.
