BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 12. Iran's non-oil trade turnover with Turkmenistan amounted to 102,000 tons worth $26.5 million for the first month of the current Iranian year (from March 20 through April 19, 2024), the statistics of Iran's Customs Administration said, Trend reports.
According to statistics, for the first month, Iran's non-oil trade turnover with Turkmenistan decreased by 10.8 percent in value and increased by 12.2 percent in weight compared to the same month last year (from March 21 through April 20, 2023).
Furthermore, statistics indicate that Iran's non-oil trade with Turkmenistan amounted to 90,900 tons worth $29.7 million in the first month of last Iranian year.
The information notes that agricultural and food products, industrial goods, transformers, water conditioners, petrochemicals, petroleum coke, cotton, cloth, and others were mainly exchanged between the two countries in the trade turnover.
Moreover, in the first month, Iran's non-oil trade turnover amounted to $5.91 billion. The trade turnover decreased by 12 percent compared to the same month last year.
To note, Iran's non-oil trade with Turkmenistan was 1.39 million tons worth about $484 million during the last Iranian year (from March 21, 2023 through March 19, 2024). The non-oil trade turnover between Iran and Turkmenistan decreased by 0.8 percent in value and increased by 5.6 percent in weight during the last Iranian year compared to the previous year (from March 21, 2022 through March 20, 2023).
