Manchester City name Mancini as new manager

Manchester City sacked Mark Hughes and named Italian Roberto Mancini as manager on Saturday, Xinhua reported.
   The club confirmed the decision on Saturday night, saying that a run of two wins in 11 games was not good enough for a club with their ambition.
   Manchester City beat Sunderland 4-3 on Saturday and stand sixth in the English Premier League.
