Turkmen President Gurbangulu Berdimuhammedov expressed sincere condolences and feelings of fraternal solidarity to his Russian counterpart and to all Russian people over numerous human casualties caused by recent tragic events.
Russian President, Dmitriy Medvedyev thanked Berdimuhammedev for his sympathy and support. The Turkmen president initiated the conversation, the official website of the Russian President, http://www.kremlin.ru, reported.
During their conversation the presidents discussed various issues of bilateral interaction. Both sides noted with satisfaction that coordinated and efficient work is underway in all fields of Russia-Turkmenistan cooperation. The parties expressed their readiness to continue to resolve all outstanding issues in an atmosphere of trust and mutual understanding, the same source said.
Medvedyev and Berdimuhamedov spoke out in favour of maintaining the high level of momentum in bilateral contacts at various levels and discussed specific plans for summit meetings in the near future.
