Azerbaijani wrestler in the weight category 74 kg Chamsulvary Chamsulvaryev gained a bronze medal in the European Championships, defeating his German rival in the fight for third place.
Member of the Azerbaijani team met with Oleg Motsalom (Greece) in the quarter. Member of the Azerbaijani national team gained a victory over the Greek, and joined the semifinal tournament. In the semifinal Chamsulvaryev lost to the Bulgarian wrestler and missed his chance to win the gold medal in the European Championship.
On the first day of European Championship, the team of Azerbaijan gained two gold and one silver medals.
