ASTANA, Kazakhstan, January 27. Kazakhstan will build 4,700 km of new national roads, Trend reports via the Ministry of Transport.
These railway projects have created approximately 2,700 jobs and involved over 1,400 units of machinery in their construction. The development and reconstruction of the railway network will provide a significant boost to the country's economy.
The phased implementation of new road projects, totaling 4,700 km, includes 3,700 km of Category I roads and 1,000 km of Category II roads. Among the key projects for 2025 are "Aktobe-Ulgaysyn" (234 km), Karaganda-Zhezkazgan" (572 km), "Bypass of the city of Saryagash" (102 km), "Bypass of the city of Kyzylorda" (20 km), "Atyrau-Dossor" (86 km),"Bypass of the city of Rudny" (16.9 km), "Zhanaozen-Kenderli" (156 km), "Bypass of the city of Petropavlovsk" (8 km).
The implementation of infrastructure initiatives will involve the local business sector and domestic enterprises.
In 2025, the construction of new roads will create 31,000 jobs and attract additional investments.
In 2025, the construction of second tracks between the Dostyk and Moyinty stations will be completed, increasing the capacity of the section fivefold. The construction of the Almaty bypass railway will also be completed, significantly reducing the load on the region's and Almaty's railways. The planned completion of the "Darbaza-Maktaaral" project will open a new stage in the integration of southern Kazakhstan into international transit routes.
Additionally, in 2024, 1,400 km of railway tracks were repaired, and 143 wagons were purchased.
