BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 12. The volume and value of cargo transportation by road in Azerbaijan grew last year.
Data obtained by Trend from the State Statistical Committee shows that these figures amounted to 5.9 million tons and $12.5 billion, respectively, marking a $410.7 million (3.4 percent) increase and 490,700 tons (nine percent) from 2023.
During the reporting period, $2.1 billion worth of 2.3 million tons were exported, reflecting a rise of $275.3 million (15 percent) and 296,600 tons (14.6 percent) compared to the previous year.
At the same time, $10.4 billion worth of 3.6 million tons were imported, which is a year-on-year growth of $135.4 million (1.3 percent) and 194,200 tons (5.7 percent).
