ASTANA, Kazakhstan, May 26. The Ministry of Agriculture of Kazakhstan will increase subsidies for wheat exporters to Afghanistan, Trend reports.
The relevant amendments to the Rules for subsidizing expenses of the National Company related to grain transportation have been posted by the ministry on the "Open Regulatory Legal Acts" portal.
Public discussion of the document will be held on the portal
until June 6, and if approved, it is planned to increase the
reimbursement rate for exports to Afghanistan from 20,000 to 30,000
tenge (from $39.1 to $58.8), while excessive details will be
excluded.
The increased rate is introduced to free up elevator capacities for
receiving the 2025 harvest and to remove excess grain from the
domestic market.
“The Rules for subsidizing expenses of the National Companies in
the agro-industrial sector were introduced in March 2025,” the
statement says.
The document delineates the parameters for the reimbursement of a portion of the expenditures associated with the logistical transit of wheat to Afghanistan, facilitated through the territorial conduit of Turkmenistan.
The endorsement of the document is anticipated to catalyze socio-economic advancement within the agro-industrial domain, enhance the export capacity of agricultural stakeholders, and generate a multiplier effect within the logistics ecosystem, as asserted by the ministry.
