BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 27. Azerbaijan's insurance companies collected 1.4 million manat ($800,000) in credit insurance premiums from January through April 2025.
The data obtained by Trend from the Central Bank of Azerbaijan shows that this figure declined by 118,000 manat ($69,000) or 7.9 percent, compared to the same period in 2024.
In the interim, the disbursements associated with credit
insurance totaled 29,000 manat ($17,000) throughout the reporting
timeframe, reflecting an increment of 1,000 manat ($590) or a 3.6
percent uptick compared to the figures documented in the initial
quadrimester of the preceding year.
It is noteworthy that between January and April 2025, the insurance
sector in Azerbaijan amassed a cumulative premium revenue of 588.5
million manat, equivalent to approximately $346 million.
This denotes an 8.4 percent uptick relative to the corresponding
timeframe in 2024.
Concurrently, the disbursements from insurance entities reached
231.3 million manat ($136 million) during the initial quadrimester
of 2025, reflecting a 10.4 percent increase on a year-over-year
basis.
