ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, July 3. Swiss firm Casale and South Korea’s Daewoo E&C will jointly develop two major fertilizer plants in eastern Turkmenistan, Trend reports via Casale's press service.
The companies signed a contract to prepare the project documentation for new ammonium sulfate and single superphosphate production facilities in the city of Turkmenabat. The project is commissioned by the State Concern Turkmenhimiya and marks a significant step in advancing Turkmenistan’s agro-industrial infrastructure.
The planned complex will include a granulated single superphosphate (PSP) plant with an annual output of 350,000 metric tons using Casale’s CULTIVA-SPhos technology, and a granulated ammonium sulfate (AS) plant producing 100,000 metric tons annually via the CULTIVA-PIPEX process.
These two fertilizers are widely used in combination to enhance soil productivity and crop output, underscoring Turkmenistan’s drive to modernize its agricultural sector with advanced international expertise.
Casale, based in Switzerland, is a century-old engineering company specializing in technological solutions for the chemical industry. The project further expands its footprint in Central Asia while aligning with Turkmenistan’s strategy to boost fertilizer production and export potential.
