Over a quarter of Georgian exports fall to Azerbaijan

In January-July 2013 over a quarter of Georgian export fell to Azerbaijan, according to a report on foreign trade of GruzStat (National Statistical Service of Georgia), published on Tuesday.

Thus, in January-June 2013 the goods in the amount of $396.78 million, or 26.9 per cent from the total export of the country, was exported from Georgia to Azerbaijan for the reporting period.

Export to Azerbaijan increased by 14.72 per cent, in comparison with the same period of 2012. For comparison, in January-June 2012 Georgian goods in the amount of $345.86 million were exported to Azerbaijan.

Armenia is in the second place. In January-July 2013 the goods in the amount of $167.79 million, or 11.4 per cent from the total export, was exported from Georgia to the country.

Turkey is in the third place in the export of Georgian goods. The Georgian goods in the amount of $100.23 million, or 6.8 per cent from the total export was exported to Turkey in January-July 2013.

In total in January-July 2013 Georgia exported the product in the amount of $1.48 billion, that is 9.35 per cent more than the indicator of the same period of 2012.
