As much as 22.11 million tons of grain is harvested in Kazakhstan as of October 22, Kazinform reported.
According to the Agriculture Ministry of Kazakhstan, agricultural producers harvested 14.949 million hectares at the reporting date, or 99.2 percent of the total harvesting area of the country. The average yield is 14.8 centners per hectare.
As of the same date of 2017, as much as 15.326 million hectares, or 99.7 percent of the total harvesting area, was harvested, which resulted in 22.939 million tons of grain. The average yield was 14.4 centners per hectare.
It is worth noting that this year, the territory of harvesting area in Kazakhstan is 15.631 million hectares, while in 2017 it was 15.365 million hectares.
