Turkey reduces exports of tubes, pipes and hollow profiles to Georgia

Turkey exported 52,744 tons of tubes, pipes and hollow profiles of iron or steel to Georgia from January through November 2019, Trend reports referring to Georgian National Statistics Office (Geostat).

During the reporting period, tubes, pipes and hollow profiles of iron or steel totaling $38.2 million were exported from Turkey to Georgia.

In an annual comparison, Turkey reduced the export of tubes, pipes and hollow profiles of iron or steel by 6,366 tons. Over the same period last year, 59,110 tons of tubes, pipes and hollow profiles of iron or steel were exported from Turkey to Georgia for a total of $46.9 million.

From January through November 2019, Turkey exported 46,932 tons of petroleum and petroleum oils to Georgia.

For 11 months of 2019, Turkey exported petroleum and petroleum oils worth $35.9 million to Georgia.

On an annualized basis, Turkey increased petroleum and petroleum oils exports to Georgia by 43,167 tons. Over the same period last year, 3,765 tons of petroleum and petroleum oils totaling $7.4 million were exported from Turkey to Georgia.

Turkey ranks third in Georgia’s commodity circulation.

For 11 months of 2019, total imports to Georgia from Turkey amounted to $1.4 billion. In turn, Georgia exported goods worth $184.4 million to Turkey.

The foreign trade turnover of Georgia with Turkey from January to November 2019 exceeded $1.6 billion, which is 14.2 percent of the total trade turnover of Georgia.

The external merchandise trade (excluding non-declared trade) of Georgia amounted to $11.5 billion from January through November 2019, 1.4 percent higher year-on-year.
