Entrepreneurs from Russia, the UK, Switzerland, the UAE, Turkey, and Afghanistan purchased in foreign currency base oil, polypropylene, liquefied gas, hydrotreated diesel fuel, petroleum road bitumen, and aviation kerosene, produced at Turkmenistan’s Turkmenbashi Complex of Oil Refineries on the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan during the last week, Trend reports with reference to Turkmenistan’s State News Agency.
Also, entrepreneurs from Afghanistan bought liquefied gas in foreign currency on Turkmenistan's exchange.
In general, representatives of the business circles of foreign countries bought petrochemical products in foreign currency on the exchange.
The total amount of transactions on the exchange in foreign currency exceeded $38.8 million.
In general, 31 transactions were registered on the exchange over the past week.
As reported, more than 242 transactions were registered on the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan in February 2021.
During the first week of February 59 transactions were concluded, during the second – 110, the third – 66, and the fourth - 7 transactions.
The State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan was established on July 29, 1994. It is the most important body of state regulation of export-import operations.
