The National Iranian Oil Company discovers new gas field in Assalouyeh with 495 billion cubic meters natural gas reserves and 658 million barrels of gas condensate, Mehr News Agency reported quoting Managing Director of the National Iranian Oil Company Ahmad Ghalebani as saying.
"The hydrocarbon reserves of newly discovered gas field worth $133 billion while the prove reserve of natural gas is estimated at 495 billion cubic meters," he said.
He noted 80 percent of gas field, a total of 405 billion cubic meters barrels of gas condensate can be extracted.
The gas field has 1.5 billion barrels gas condensate prove reserve which 658 million barrels of gas condensate will be extracted.
The field is located in 15 kilometers east of Assalouyeh and has production capacity of 2 billion cubic foot natural gas per day which is equal to two Phases of South Pars
