In the first six months of 2013 the British BP, which is the operator of Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli block of fields in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea, delivered 1.21 billion cubic meters of accompanying gas to the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR), BP's report for the first half-year said.
The accompanying gas is delivered to SOCAR free of charge within the framework of development of Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli fields' block.
"We can say that it corresponds to the volume of gas envisaged for transfer to SOCAR over entire 2013. The planned transfer of gas for this year amounts to 1.24 billion cubic meters," the report said.
According to the report, the average daily volume of gas transferred to SOCAR in the first half of the year amounted 6.7 million cubic meters.
The shares in the contract for development of Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli block of fields is distributed as follows: BP (operator in Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli) - 35.78 percent, Chevron - 11,27 percent, Inpex - 10,96 percent, AzACG - 11,65 percent, Statoil - 8,56 percent, Exxon - eight percent, TPAO - 6.75 percent, Itochu - 4,3 percent and ONGC - 2,72 percent.
