BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 18. The top importers of Azerbaijan's crude oil and petroleum products received from bituminous rocks in 11 months in 2024 were Italy, the Czech Republic, and Croatia.
The data obtained by Trend from the State Customs Committee shows that Azerbaijan's overall export volume of crude oil and petroleum products amounted to 21.5 million tons, and the value was $13.3 billion, marking a decrease of $1.79 billion (11.9 percent) and 2.6 million tons (10.9 percent) compared to the same period in 2023.
The volume of exports to Italy equaled 9.8 million tons, and the value was $6.14 billion, which is a year-on-year decrease of $517.49 million (7.8 percent) in value and 581,459 tons (5.6 percent) in volume.
The Czech Republic imported 1.58 million tons of Azerbaijani crude oil and petroleum products worth $977.55 million, an increase of $294.66 million (43.1 percent) in value and 447,243 tons (39.4 percent) in volume.
Meanwhile, Croatia imported 1.44 million tons of crude oil and products worth $873.4 million from Azerbaijan, representing a growth of $338.41 million (63.2 percent) in value and 544,476 tons (61.1 percent) in volume compared to 11 months of last year.
