The Committee to protect the oilmen' rights is willing to assist the Azerbaijani employees of Great Wall Drilling (GWD) in filing a lawsuit against the company, Mirvari Gahramanly, the Head of the Committee told Trend.
There are relevant statements and it is planned to hold a meeting with 40 employees of the company on 19 September with respect to filing a lawsuit against GWD.
The Defending lawyer intends to appeal to the Labor Inspection to hold a meeting with the Chinese Ambassador to Azerbaijan to solve this situation.
The best course of action would be to take legal proceedings, she noted.
The head of the Committee said that the employees stress that they have suffered evasion from payment of taxes, illegal cut in salaries, non-payment funds during the incidents which damage the employees' health, and non-payment for the overtime hours at GWD.
At present Great Wall Drilling is involved in drilling operations for Salyan Oil operating company on the Kursangi-Garabaghly onshore field. The company drills exploitation and exploration wells.
