Liquidity in Iran increases

The liquidity in Iran increased by 36.2 percent in the 6th month of the current Iranian year (August 22-September 21, 2020) compared to the same month last Iranian year, Trend reports citing Central Bank of Iran.

According to the report, the liquidity in Iran amounted to 28.9 quadrillion rials (about $689 billion) in the sixth month.

“While in the same month last Iranian year, this figure was 21.2 quadrillion rials (about $506 billion),” the report added.

Furthermore, the share of money in liquidity was 6 quadrillion rials (about $143 billion) in 6th month. This is an increase of 80.2 percent compared to the same month last Iranian year. Thus, the share of money in liquidity amounted to 3.33 quadrillion rials (about $79.3 billion) in the same month last Iranian year.

According to the report, the share of near-money in liquidity was 22.9 quadrillion rials (about $546 billion) in 6th month. This is an increase of 28 percent compared to the same period last Iranian year.

“Thus, the share of near-money in liquidity amounted to 17.9 quadrillion rials (about $427 billion) in the same month last Iranian year,” the report noted.
