Azerbaijani banks increased the issuance of consumer loans from January through September 2021 by 15.5 percent compared to the beginning of the year - up to 4.2 billion manats ($2.5 billion), the Central Bank of Azerbaijan (CBA) told Trend.
According to the CBA, this figure increased by 11.3 percent on an annualized basis.
It is noted that Azerbaijani banks issued consumer loans for 3.8 billion manats ($2.2 billion) in 9M2020.
Also, the CBA reports that the loan portfolio of Azerbaijani banks at the end of September 2021 amounted to 15.53 billion manats ($9.1 billion).
In the structure of the loan portfolio, business and mortgage loans accounted for nine ($5.3 billion) billion and 2.29 billion manats ($1.3 billion), respectively.
