Tengizchevroil reduces sulfur reserves by 800,000 tons

LLP "Tengizchevroil" (TCO), which develops the Tengiz field in the Atyrau region, sold 1.9 million tons of sulfur in the first half-year, Kazinform reported.

As the company said, sulfur sales in 2011 are actively underway. Producing 1.1 million tons of sulfur from January to July, TCO has sent additional 800,000 tons of this product from its stores to consumers. As a result, sulfur reserves at Tengiz declined to 4.9 million tons from almost 9 million tons, stored on the field several years ago.

The main recipients of Kazakh sulphur are China, Russia, Ukraine, and our country's regions.
