BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, July 25. One of the leading banks in Kyrgyzstan, "Aiyl Bank", plans to open a representative office in Moscow, Russia, Trend reports.
As the Kyrgyz Stock Exchange informs, the decision to establish the new office was reached during an extraordinary general shareholders' meeting held in early July 2023.
Additionally, during the same meeting, it was decided to transfer a non-residential property with land covering a total area of 444 square meters in the Kara-Bak village in the Batken region to the State Agency for State Property Management under the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan.
The land plot will be transferred as dividends for the year 2023, and its value is estimated at 5,188 million soms ($59,055).
"Aiyl Bank" is a major state-owned bank in Kyrgyzstan, with the government holding 100 percent of its shares. The bank provides a full range of traditional banking services, with its main operation focusing on agricultural sector financing.
The bank participates in nearly all state and international projects related to agricultural financing in Kyrgyzstan. The new representative office in Moscow is expected to enhance further financial cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Russia.
