BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, January 10. Kyrgyzstan imported 6,327 trucks from South Korea from January through October 2024, Trend reports.

According to the country's National Statistical Committee, the figure rose by 42.6 percent year-on-year. The value of the imports reached $21.947 million, increasing by 48.3 percent.

Overall, Kyrgyzstan imported 12,699 trucks worth $115.291 million from January through October 2024.

The volume of imports increased by 13.7 percent compared to 11,166 trucks a year ago, while the value rose by 1.1 percent from $114.009 million during the same period in 2023.

South Korea was the largest exporter of trucks to Kyrgyzstan during the reporting months. Among the other largest suppliers was Lithuania, from which a total of 2,343 trucks worth $8.859 million came, and 2,274 trucks for $59.372 million were imported from China.

Meanwhile, Kyrgyzstan's foreign trade turnover amounted to $13.4 billion in 10 months of 2024, which is 6.4 percent more than in the same period of 2023.

To note, exports grew by 25.2 percent year-on-year to $3.1 billion, while imports increased by 1.8 percent to $10.3 billion.
