Tajikistan's diesel fuel production goes up

DUSHANBE, Tajikistan, November 7. Tajikistan produced 2,100 tons of diesel fuel from January through August 2024, marking a 2.1-fold increase compared to the same period last year.

Data obtained by Trend from the CIS Interstate Statistical Committee indicates that 2,000 tons of gasoline were produced in the country over the first eight months of the year, which marks an 8.2 percent increase compared to the same period in 2023.

In addition, Tajikistan produced 3,400 tons of fuel oil from January through August 2024, marking a 50.5 percent increase compared to the same period last year.

The latest data from the Statistics Agency of Tajikistan shows that the country’s industrial enterprises produced goods worth 36.3 billion somoni (about $3.4 billion) from January through September 2024, a 15.3 percent increase compared to the same period last year.

The mining industry saw the largest production growth, growing by 35.9 percent, followed by the manufacturing industry with a 10 percent increase. The supply of electricity, gas, steam, and air purification grew by 0.6 percent, while the water supply, waste processing, and secondary materials sector saw a 1.7-fold increase.
