BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 25. The value of loans allocated to the industrial sector of Uzbekistan from January through September 2022 amounted to 121.2 trillion soums ($10.9 billion), which is an increase of 7.9 percent compared to the same period last year (112.3 trillion soums, or $10 billion), Trend reports citing the Uzbek Central Bank.
At the same time, loans allocated to agriculture in the corresponding period amounted to 37.2 trillion soums ($3.3 billion), which is an increase of 11.2 percent compared to the same period of 2021 (33.5 trillion soums or $3 billion).
The value of loans allocated to the construction sector during this period, increased by 9.3 percent compared to the same period last year (9.2 trillion soums or $824.2 million) reaching 10 trillion soums ($901.3 million).
From January through September 2022, the value of loans allocated to the trade and service sector amounted to 28.6 trillion soums ($2.6 billion), which is an increase of 15.3 percent compared to the same period of 2021 (24.8 trillion soums or $2.2 billion).
The value of loans allocated to other sectors of the economy of Uzbekistan from January through September 2022 amounted to 42.2 trillion soums ($3.8 billion).
