BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 22. Uzbekistan introduced limits on additional energy consumption with regards to street lighting networks since November 16, 2022, Trend reports via the Uzbek Ministry of Energy.
This reduced daily electricity consumption by 25 percent, or an average daily consumption to 87,800 kWh in November. In October 2022, an average daily consumption was 115,900 kWh.
As a result, 28,100 kWh of energy per day or 843,000 kWh per month was saved.
This amount of saved electricity is the average monthly consumption of 4,400 households in the country.
Over the last 5 years, electricity consumption in Uzbekistan has increased by 20 percent. This figure is growing at 6 percent per year.
