Uzbekistan reveals volume of produced motor gasoline in 4M2024

TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, May 23. Uzbekistan produced 464,000 tons of motor gasoline from January through April 2024, Trend reports.

According to the data from Uzbekistan’s Statistics Agency, this figure has decreased by 8 percent year-on-year (504,600 tons in January–April 2023).

At the same time, in April, the volume of motor gasoline produced increased by 103,400 tons compared to the previous months (360,600 tons in January–March 2024).

Meanwhile, Uzbekistan, in accordance with the article of its Tax Code, changed the excise tax rates on petroleum products and other excisable goods and services on April 1, 2024.

According to Uzbekistan’s Uzbekneftegaz oil and gas company, since the specified period, the excise tax on the production of 1 ton of RON-80 gasoline has increased from 303,000 Uzbek soums ($24.09) to 340,000 Uzbek soums ($27.03), and for 1 ton of jet fuel (except synthetic), from 242,000 Uzbek soums ($19.24) to 271,000 Uzbek soums ($21.54).

At the same time, Uzbekistan has established a new amount of monetary compensation for gasoline. The amount of monthly monetary compensation from the first quarter of 2024 is set at 124,780 soums ($9.89).
