TASHKENT, Uzbekistan, February 20. As of February 1, 2025, the number of active enterprises and organizations with foreign investment in Uzbekistan reached 15,163.
According to the data obtained by Trend from Uzbekistan's Statistics Agency, China's got the lion's share of the pie, boasting a whopping 3,467 enterprises. Russia is hot on the heels with 2,973, while Türkiye is holding its own in third place with 1,869.
Kazakhstan has 1,060 enterprises with foreign investment, South Korea accounts for 660, and the US has 303.
The scene changed a bit when the January 2025 statistics rolled in, as the count of enterprises and organizations with foreign capital in Uzbekistan hit a whopping 14,871 by January 1, 2025. A good chunk of businesses in the country got their start thanks to Chinese capital, adding up to a staggering 3,357. The firms with Russian backing are not far behind, boasting a total of 2,937 enterprises in their corner.
