BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 15. The sales volume at the Iran Energy Exchange totaled 51.6 trillion rials (about $91.7 million) last week (from February 8 through February 12), Trend reports via IRENEX.
As many as 117,000 tons of hydrocarbon products worth 44.9 trillion rials (about $79.7 million) were traded at the Iranian Energy Exchange last week. On the domestic market of the Energy Exchange, 39,800 tons of products worth 15.5 trillion rials (about $27.5 million) were marketed. The international section of the exchange auctioned 77,000 tons of products worth 29.4 trillion rials (about $52.2 million).
A total of 2 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity worth 5.68 trillion rials (about $10 million) was traded at the energy exchange last week.
The exchange also marketed Standard Parallel Salaf contracts worth 1.2 trillion rials (approximately $2.09 million).
To note, the sale of hydrocarbon products in Iran's Energy Exchange is of great importance. Iran is striving to provide local companies with hydrocarbon products and increase exports via the Energy Exchange.
