Iran boosts total exports via nation's Jolfa Customs

BAKU, Azerbaijan, February 12. The export of products through Jolfa Customs of Iran's East Azerbaijan Province grew by 39 percent in value and 27 percent in weight during the ten months of the current Iranian year (from March 20, 2024, through January 19, 2025) compared to the same period last year (from March 21, 2023, through January 20, 2024), Director General of Jolfa Customs Office Ali Bisalam told reporters, Trend reports.

Bisalam said that 337,000 tons of products worth $213 million were exported through Jolfa Customs during ten months of this year against 265,000 tons of products worth $153 million in a similar period last year.

He pointed out that mainly petroleum products, construction materials, ceramics, and rubber products have been exported through the Jolfa customs.

The official added that the products were primarily exported to Türkiye, Azerbaijan, Iraq, Armenia, Russia, Georgia, Afghanistan, Turkmenistan, and Kazakhstan.

To note, the statistics of the Iranian Customs Administration show that Iran exported 127 million tons of non-oil products worth around $47.8 billion abroad during the 10 months of the current year, meaning a year-on-year growth of 18 percent in value and 12 percent in weight.
