Georgia sees increase in construction cost index

The construction cost index (CCI) in Georgia in the third quarter of 2021 increased by 1.8 percent, compared to the second quarter of the current year, Trend reports via the National Statistics Office (Geostat).

According to Geostat, the increase was mainly due to an increase in construction materials prices (2.7 percent), with a 1.59 percentage points contribution to the total index change.

The CCI in Georgia over the reporting period of 2021 also increased by 14.1 percent, compared to the third quarter of 2020.

The increase was due to a 19.5 percent increase in construction materials prices (contribution of 11.07 percentage points to the annual index change).
