Ki-Moon Called upon as to Set the Syrian and All Arab Prisoners Free

The Committee for supporting the liberated and arrested Syrians inside the Israeli occupation prisons observed Monday, along with huge crowds of Quneitra Governorate citizens, a mass sit-in in front of the United Nations headquarters in 'Nabi Al-Fawar', about 60 kilometers from Damascus, SANA reported.

The mass sit-in is on the occasion of solidarity Week with Arab prisoners from Palestine and the Golan, marking also the Syrian Prisoner Day, due tomorrow Tuesday, April 20, 2010.

A communiqué about the catastrophic and inhumane conditions of the Arab prisoners inside the Israeli jails was handed to United Nations Disengagement Observer Force (UNDOF) by Ali Al-Younis, a liberated Syrian prisoner and Chairman of the above-mentioned Committee.

Israeli occupation authorities have been working as to liquidate physically the Syrian Golan prisoners through deliberate non-medication causing foe them chronic diseases and deterioration of heath conditions, the communiqué said.

The communiqué, due to be sent to United Nations Secretary-general, Ban Ki-Moon, called on Ki-Moon, to interfere and put pressure on the Israeli occupation forces as to set the Syrian and all Arab prisoners free.

Al-Younis stated to SANA that several activities in solidarity with the Syrian prisoners, 8 Syrians of whom some have passed more than 25 years in the Israeli prisons, and Arab prisoners inside the Israeli notorious jails would be held this month.
