Turkish President Abdullah Gul met with Oman's Sultan Qaboos bin Said al-Said at the Al-Alam Royal Palace in Muscat on Monday, Anadolu Agency reported.
Turkish Agriculture Minister Mehdi Eker was also present at the meeting.
During his stay in Oman, Gul will also meet with members of the Omani government. He is also set to attend Turkish-Omani Business Forum.
President Gul is expected to return to Turkey on April 14.
A delegation of around 300 people including MPs, businessmen and journalists are accompanying Gul. His visit is the first by a Turkish president to Oman over the past 13 years.
