Kazakhstan, Astana, Dec. 24 / Trend , K.Konirova/ "Delimitation of the Caspian Sea has been partially coordinated with Iran and Turkmenistan," Deputy Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Khalaf Khalafov said to Astana-based Trend correspondent.

"We are negotiating with Iran and Turkmenistan. And the main focus of the talks is delimitation of the Caspian Sea bed," said Khalafov.

According to the Minister, "there is progress in the negotiations", but he did not specify it as it is too specific and that is an area for the work of specialists and experts.

"We try to maintain the rhythm of the negotiations to reach soonest agreement on all issues. Part of the issues has been agreed upon, but we partially continue the discussion," he said.

Minister that all parties are interested in resolving this issue.

Khalafov find it difficult to answer when the negotiations on delimitation of the seabed may be completed.

"It is difficult to say when the talks will be concluded, as many aspects require careful consideration. But all countries want a soon solution and they seek an agreement," said Khalafov.
