Azerbaijan, Baku, Apr. 2 / Trend A.Huseynbala /

The Central Election Commission's (CEC) composition should be fully formed before the parliamentary elections, Great Establishment Party (GEP) Chairman, MP Fazil Mustafa said at a parliamentary meeting today.

"The CEC must have 18 members, but now only 15 people operate in this structure," he said.

The same individual represents the GEP and the Azerbaijani Popular Front Party in the CEC.

He said that although the CEC members must be representatives of parties whose representation in parliament is negligible, the issue remains unresolved.

"Earlier, two seats in the CEC were intended for the Musavat Party. The party did not agree to representation in the CEC members. However, this does not mean other parliamentary parties cannot be represented in this structure," he added.

According to the MP, the CEC staff should be fully formed before the start of the parliamentary elections.
