Azerbaijani relations in the fields of construction and urban development will be governed by the Uniform Code.
Azerbaijan is preparing the City Planning Code, the Azerbaijani Parliament Administrative and Military Legislation department deputy head Sayyad Kerimov told Trend.
He said that city planning and construction codes will be consolidated and presented to the Azerbaijani Parliament in a single code.
Draft Building Code is being prepared for the second reading in the parliament. Both codes, combined into a single project will be presented to the Azerbaijani Parliament, Karimov said.
He said that a preliminary draft Development Code was prepared and presented to experts from Germany.
Two German experts will arrive in Azerbaijan in June to study the rules of town planning, legal and regulatory framework and the situation on the practical application of the legal framework.
There is a need for a better law due to a very weak legal basis in the regulation of relations in the fields of construction and urban development in Azerbaijan.
"The document will govern the issues of control over the processes in this area, the introduction of "single window" in the areas of construction and urban development, facilitation of the issuance of building permits and other issues in Azerbaijan," Kerimov said.
