On September 8, during the court session on the criminal cases of the former senior official of the Head Investigation Department of Azerbaijani Interior Ministry Haji Mammadov and the criminal band led by him, the request of his advocate Samed Aliyev regarding providing interval in the court process once a week wasnt ensured. The criminal court of Mammadov and his band is held in the Court on Heinous Crimes of Azerbaijan under chair of judge Ali Seyfaliyev, Trend reports.
Aliyev justified this request through the issue that the advocates cannot participate in other court processes and protect the rights of their clients.
The judge said that this court process is the most actual process and is on the focus of attention. For this reasons, the attendance of the court sessions shouldnt be broken.
Then, the court session continued by questioning Sidek Abdulvahabov. After studying the differences between his previous and present evidences, the judge announced that the next session will be held on September 11.
Former deputy interior minister of Azerbaijan Zakir Nasirov is expected to give evidences at the next session.
