TotalEnergies' installed renewable power capacity surges y-o-y

BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 8. TotalEnergies' gross installed capacity for renewable power generation by the end of the third quarter of 2023 surpassed 20 GW, Trend reports.

According to the company, this reflects a growth of more than 1 GW on a quarterly basis (19 GW in 2Q2023).

This includes an additional 0.5 GW installed in the US through Myrtle Solar and Danish Fields, as well as the connection of 0.3 GW from the Seagreen offshore wind project in the UK, the energy giant added.

At the same time, TotalEnergies' gross installed renewables capacity in the reporting period surged by 26 percent year-on-year, compared to 16 GW in 3Q2022.

Furthermore, the company's portfolio of renewable power generation capacity over the first nine months of the current year amounted to 80.5 GW - up by 19 percent year-on-year (67.8 GW in 9M2022).

Meanwhile, over the first nine months of 2023, TotalEnergies' net power production totaled 25.5 TWh - up by 7 percent year-on-year (23.7 TWh in 9M2022).
