ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, September 3. The construction and industrial complexes of Turkmenistan fulfilled 110.5 percent of their production and works plan from January through July 2024, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Baimyrat Annamammedov reported during a Cabinet of Ministers meeting, Trend reports.
During the meeting, officials reviewed the results of work completed over the past seven months and addressed the country's socio-economic development issues, including ongoing developments in the construction and industrial sectors.
Annamammedov detailed that the Ministry of Construction and Architecture achieved 107.8 percent of its plan, while the Ministry of Industry and Construction Production produced goods and carried out works valued at 1.028 billion Turkmenistani manat, or $293.714 million. The Ministry of Energy fulfilled its plan for production and works by 106.6 percent, and the Turkmenhimiya state concern reached 126.8 percent.
The deputy chair further detailed that the State Agency for Roads Construction Management completed its plan at 109 percent, while the Ashgabat City Administration fulfilled its plan by 110.8 percent.
Following the report of the deputy chair, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the importance of taking comprehensive measures to ensure the uninterrupted functioning of construction industry enterprises and bringing them to their design capacity. He also highlighted the need to establish new production facilities, create jobs, and maintain strict control over the completion of buildings, structures, and residential houses scheduled for opening in 2024.
