ASTANA, Kazakhstan, April 23. Gas production in Kazakhstan is expected to increase to 68 billion cubic meters by 2025, said Energy Minister Yerlan Akkenzhenov at a government meeting, Trend reports.
According to him, the main increase in gas production will come
from Tengiz, Karachaganak, and Kashagan.
"The volume of produced commercial gas in 2024 amounted to 28.7
billion cubic meters. The production target for 2025 is 29.4
billion cubic meters. In the first quarter of 2025, 7.3 billion
cubic meters were produced," Akkenzhenov noted.
In 2024, 21.2 billion cubic meters of gas were supplied to meet the
needs of the domestic market. The projected consumption volume for
2025 is approximately 21.3 billion cubic meters.
