ASTANA, Kazakhstan, April 23. According to the results of last year (2024), oil production at the Dunga field, located in the Tupkaragan district of the Mangistau region in Kazakhstan, increased to 630,000 tons, Trend reports via KazMunayGas.
"In 2023, the figure was 546.900 tons. Overall, since
KazMunayGas acquired a stake in the Dunga project, the development
of the field has shown positive dynamics," noted the company
KazMunayGas.
In the first quarter of 2025, 168,300 tons of oil were produced,
and the net profit amounted to $6.2 million. Both indicators
exceeded the plan.
In 2023, KMG (KazMunayGas) acquired a 60 percent stake in the project from the French company TotalEnergies. As part of the deal, the operating company was renamed Dunga Operating GmbH.
