ASTANA, Kazakhstan, April 29. Kazakhstan focused on non-oil exports in 2024, which showed an impressive growth of 11.9 percent, reaching $28.8 billion, said Bauyrzhan Bolganisov, Director of the Export Promotion Department of the Ministry of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan at the briefing of the Central Communications Service, Trend reports.
"In the first half of 2025, Kazakhstan continues to maintain high export rates, with exports reaching $11.2 billion from January through February, of which $3.6 billion were non-commodity exports. As a result, the share of non-commodity exports in the total foreign trade turnover of Kazakhstan is approaching 35 percent," noted Bolganisov.
By the end of 2024, Kazakhstan's foreign trade turnover amounted to $141.4 billion, which is 1.3 percent higher compared to the same period in 2023. According to the speaker, Kazakhstan's exports increased to $81.6 billion, which is 3.2 percent more than in 2023. Meanwhile, imports amounted to $59.8 billion, which is 1 percent lower than the previous year's level.
