ASTANA, Kazakhstan, May 7. Kazakhstan's exports of goods and services reached $40.6 billion in 2024, which is 11 percent more than in 2023 ($36.4 billion), Trend reports via the Ministry of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
''The growth was the result of a consistent policy aimed at strengthening export activity, diversifying supplies, and expanding foreign economic partnerships,'' the information notes
According to information a significant contribution to the dynamics was made by the development of priority export markets, taking into account the integration of transport corridors and creating conditions for the accelerated entry of Kazakhstani goods into foreign markets.
"China occupied a central place in the strategy - a key trading partner and a country with high demand for products with high added value. The regionalization format of cooperation with individual provinces of China has already shown significant results. In 2024, there was a multiple increase in trade with several regions: the trade turnover with Shanxi Province grew 11.5 times, with Yunnan 9 times, exports to Sichuan increased by 49 percent, and to Shanghai by 3.6 times. Supplies to these areas accounted for the majority of the non-raw material export growth," said the Ministry of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The Central Asian region is showing stable growth in demand for Kazakhstani products, primarily in the segments of processing, machine engineering, and the food industry. Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan are among the priority markets with growing volumes of mutual trade.
