On Wednesday, the National Fund for Entrepreneurship Support (NFES) under the Azerbaijani Economic Development Ministry, issued loans worth 1.4 million manat to 23 entrepreneurs from Baku settlements, NFES executive director Shirzad Abdullayev said.
Implementing the projects at the expense of these funds will create 81 new jobs. The event was held in the Badamdar village in the Sabail district, with the participation of nearly 100 entrepreneurs from the Baku settlements.
"This is the sixth such event that we held in the Baku settlements. At the last event, loans worth 1.4 million manat were issued; of these, 1 million manat were aimed at creating a poultry farm in the Hovsan settlement and a greenhouse complex in a 0.5 hectares area in the Bilgah settlement", Abdullayev said.
During the event, entrepreneurs were also presented with investment projects on establishing a meat cutting and bread making enterprise.
In 2011 NFES issued 1,102 loans worth 92.1 million manat. These funds were allocated for the implementation of 57 major projects worth 77.4 million manat and 1,045 small projects worth 14.7 million manat.
State program for the social and economic development of Baku and its suburbs in 2011-2013 were approved by order of the Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, dated May 4, 2011.
