The number of vehicles manufactured in Kazakhstan amounted to 24,687 worth 171.3 billion tenge during the first seven months of 2019, which is an increase of the manufactured volume by 42.6 percent compared to the same period of last year, Trend reports with reference to the press office of KazAutoProm.
Thus, the manufacturing of passenger cars has increased by 38.1 percent and amounted to 22,280 vehicles.
The manufacturing of buses increased by 4.1 times, equaling 754 vehicles. The manufacturing of trucks (1,196 vehicles) and trailers (422 vehicles) increased by 84.3 percent and 68.1 percent respectively. The manufacturing of specialized machinery decreased from 83 vehicles to 35 vehicles.
The number of vehicles manufactured in Kazakhstan in July equaled 4,064 vehicles, which is 55.1 percent more than during the same period of last year.
The sale of locally manufactured vehicles amounted to 22,157 vehicles, which is 43.4 percent more than during the same period of last year.
Furthermore, residents of Kazakhstan spent a total of 145.7 billion tenge to purchase locally manufactured vehicles, which is 66.3 percent more than during the same period of last year.
The major part of cars manufactured in Kazakhstan were assembled by Asia Auto plant (11,965 sold vehicles, 54 percent of total volume). It is followed by SaryarkaAutoProm, which sold 9,179 vehicles (41.4 percent).
The TOP-5 of most popular brands of passenger cars of local assembling includes Lada (8 616 vehicles), Hyundai (7 340 vehicles), KIA (1 989 vehicles), Ravon (674 vehicles) and Skoda (643 vehicles).
