ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, September 2. Turkmenistan's Turkmennebit state concern achieved 102.6 percent of its oil production plan and 102.9 percent of its oil refining plan from January through July 2024, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Batyr Amanov said during a Cabinet of Ministers meeting, Trend reports.
During the meeting, officials reviewed the results of work completed over the past seven months and addressed the country's socio-economic development issues.
Amanov highlighted that gasoline production reached 108.5 percent of the plan, polypropylene 112 percent, and lubricating oils 110.6 percent.
He also provided updates on the production of liquefied gas, natural and associated gas, and the export of natural gas. The investment development plan from all financing sources was fulfilled by 119.1 percent.
Following the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the importance of ongoing improvements in the oil and gas industry. He stressed the need to ensure domestic enterprises operate at full capacity and increase oil and oil products production.
The Turkmennebit state concern plays a central role in Turkmenistan's oil industry, overseeing exploration, production, transportation, and refining of oil and gas, as well as the sale of petrochemical products. The concern includes key facilities like the Turkmenbashi Complex of Oil Refineries (TCOR) and Seydi Oil Refinery, along with various specialized enterprises. Turkmennebit collaborates with international companies under service contracts and Production Sharing Agreements, contributing to significant projects, including the development of offshore and onshore fields. Its operations are pivotal in enhancing Turkmenistan's export potential through high-quality petrochemical products.
